About Us
Local engineers, working together, making products.
We are primarily two engineers, Seth and Ruby, with a supporting network of talent and vendors that are both local and overseas.
We are fully remote but collaborate regularly with each other in-person.
Seth Berggren founded Inspira LLC back in 2020 as a way to formalize the consulting work he had been doing for various clients. He is educated in electrical engineering but his professional work has been mainly in embedded systems, firmware, and circuit board design.
Seth worked for multiple start-up companies, developing IoT devices for AAA’s tow-truck fleets and consumer IoT products as well. He has worked corporate engineering positions in HVAC and in consumer audio (with Bose) as part of a research division for wearable products.
Inspira LLC began as a side-project. Now it has turned into Seth’s dedicated career.
Ruby Schmerling is the owner of Taloren LLC, a consulting company that offers engineering and manufacturing services for product developers. He is a mechanical engineer with an MBA and over 25 years of experience in product design, engineering, and contract manufacturing.
He is an independent inventor with two U.S. patents in defense-related technologies.
Ruby began his career working for the popular toy brand, Lego, before transitioning into an R&D role with his time at Cyalume Technologies. Now he is working full-time as a product design and manufacturing consultant through his company, Taloren LLC.
Teaming up to form a network of professionals.
We’re stronger together – that’s why we work with other development firms. It adds depth to our resources and it complements our expertise.
PixelEdge (co-founder Micah Rotich pictured on the right) is a software development company that is based in Northampton, Massachusetts. They have locations around the world and specialize in server development (backend and frontend), mobile apps, SaaS, and anything else that is software related.
Their expertise is integral in our process for developing IoT solutions that are scaleable and cross-platform.
Real connections with trusted manufacturers.
Manufacturing runs require careful planning and an intimate knowledge of the capabilities of the vendor. We have good relationships with trusted manufacturing partners that have proven themselves.
Worthington Assembly (facility displayed in picture with Seth) is located in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. They are highly competent in PCB assembly and they offer a unique advantage over typical large-scale vendors.
Not only are they local to us, making in-person oversight a real possibility for manufacturing runs, but, the ownership and staff are extremely helpful in providing us with flexibility that adjusts to the requirements of the project.
