Building a Product

This is the design and manufacturing of your new product idea and involves these two components: Design Services and Facilitation Services.

Subcontracting

I myself or an engineering associate plugs directly into a role within the client’s organization. These are referred to as Support Services.

Design Services

As the lead engineer, I will handle much or all of your product’s development myself. I will also collaborate with engineers of other disciplines for tasks that are outside of my specialty.

My Expertise

I specialize in embedded systems, firmware development, PCB design, electromagnetic compatibility, and compliance for products in the consumer electronics, industrial, military, and medical industries.

Other Disciplines

My main colleague, Ruby, specializes in materials, mechanical design, machined parts, enclosures, and manufacturing.

For more complex projects, I work with Subject Matter Experts in aerospace engineering, fluid dynamics, and other disciplines.

Facilitation Services

I work directly with third-party organizations to facilitate the certification or manufacturing process, ensuring proper tests are being performed and proper documentation submitted. For manufacturing, it is critical to have a test procedure in place that can identify issues in the production line as early as possible.

Support Services

This is a flexible service for organizations that need an engineering role filled on their team. Here are a few reasons why team leaders might benefit from support services:

Temporary or periodic work

Some jobs come in sporadically or there could be a sudden increase in demand, making it helpful to have a release valve.

Difficulty finding talent

Every new hire can feel like a roll of the dice and for this reason many companies don’t want to invest so many resources into a full-time employee that doesn’t bring in a return.

Zero overhead costs

The payment structure is simple and this appeals to many companies. There are no benefits payouts, no insurance, and no long-term commitments.
