PROCESS

Getting Started

1. Get in touch

Fill out the contact form and we’ll discuss the details of your product idea.

2. Get a roadmap

You will receive a roadmap with detailed milestones to create your product.

3. Get to work

I will personally manage and complete the milestones on your roadmap.

Product Roadmap

The product roadmap is the anchor point for the entire project. Once it has been fully drafted and it receives your approval, I will begin taking your product through the development process, one milestone at a time – you being the overseer of progress.

Partner with me

Think of me as the general contractor for your product. As a lead engineer, I handle much of the design work and engineering myself, but, I also manage subcontractors, other engineers, and talent resources, while also facilitating the process of certification and manufacturing.

Getting results

As I take your product through the roadmap one milestone at a time, you will receive design files, firmware files, and other documentation required for manufacturing.

Design Files

• PCB Files (source files, gerber files, etc.)
• Wire Harnesses (cad drawings, assembly drawings, etc.)
• Mechanical Parts (cad drawings, assembly drawings, etc.)
• Ancillary Drawings (shipping labels, compliance labels, etc.)

Firmware Files

• Source Code (typically written in C)
• Binary Code (bootloader, main program)

Documentation

• Bill of Materials
• Test Reports (EMC, FCC, UL, etc.)
• User Manuals

Additionally, you will receive any miscellaneous items necessary to certify and manufacture your product.

This may include Production Test Fixtures (Test Jigs), Tooling, Molds, Manufacturing Instructions, Records of Correspondence with vendors or agencies, Revisions (e.g. via git or ECNs), Purchase Orders, etc.
